Update 8/10/13:  Had a test to see if the medicine is working and the dogtor is very happy with the results!!!  Cushings disease is a very serious illness but I am a tough girl and will fight to stay healthy!

Update 4/5/13:  Hey, there is new hair growing on me!!  That means the medicine is working.  I still drink a lot of water but am really doing well using the pee pads.  I love my new fur-ever foster home - getting lots of attention and luvin'.  My foster mom was on the phone with my previous foster mom and told her that I am "coming into my own" - think that means I am feeling really comfortable here and am very happy.  Please keep sponsoring me as my medicine is expensive and I hope to be around for quite a few more years!

Update 3/8/13:  Today is a big day for me - I am going to my new fur-ever foster home in PA.  I know my foster mom is sad to see me go but I will get a lot more attention in my new home being that there are only 2 other pups there.  I am looking forward to getting lots of walks and lots of luvin' from my new foster family.   I am taking my medicine every day and hope to start feeling better very soon.   Please sponsor me - every little bit helps.

Update 12/31/12:  The test came back and it appears that I do have Cushings Disease.  I overheard the dogtor telling my foster mom that once diagnosed and treatment begins, I will start to feel better and I won't be as thirsty so I won't be peeing as much!   I still have a few good years left in me and I am a fighter.  My wish is that someone will still want to adopt me - I do love my foster mom but she has a lot of other pups to take care of and I would love a home of my own.  Please consider adopting me.   My medicine only costs $2 day to take care of me.

Update 12/6/12: Ever heard the saying 'What goes up, must come down'?  Well, I am not doing well again.   My foster Mummy noticed that from one day to the next, my belly started to feel hard and it appeared larger so I returned to the dogter to see what was going on.  I was doing better then I started to have more hair loss, a potbelly appearance,
excessive drinking which means excessive peeing and my recent dogter visit showed I have an enlarged liver.  Now the dogter needs to do an 8 hour test to see if I have Cushings Disease.  My status has changed from adoptable to sponsorship while I undergo the testing I need and will remain in foster care under we know what is going on. Please restore my hope and consider donating towards my dogter visits and exams during this Howliday season.  I could use all of the prayer I can get.  I am such a sweet girl and deserve it!

Update 12/1/12: The dogter has addressed my medical issues and I am feeling great!  I get along with other dogs and am a super sweet little Maltese girl!  I used to be allowed to go potty wherever I wanted so I have been working on my house-breaking issues.  My foster Mummy says I am a wonderful pup and I am all ready for my furever home!  Please make my Howliday wish come true.... I ask this from little me, to you!  Visit www.yorkie911rescue.com to fill out an adoption application for me.

Woof Woof!  My name is Minnie Mouse & I am as cute, as I am sweet!   Oh wait, please don't think I am conceited.... I am just telling you what the Rescue Squad told me.  They also said that I am one of the sweetest pups to ever walk through their foster doors!  I have a few medical issues and will be seeing the dogter again tomorrow so please check back for updates.
