Welcome to Yorkie911 Rescue!

About Us:

Founded in July 2010, Yorkie911 Rescue, Inc is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization comprised of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about rescuing, vetting, and re-homing Yorkshire terriers and other small breed dogs. Given our many years in rescue, we’ve come to realize that saving every needy dog is impossible, but we remain forever grateful for the ones we do save.

Meet Charlotte - our "Ambassadog"
(2010 - 2018)

One week after surgery:
Charlotte the Ambassadog

Despite having only three legs, this youthful Yorkie tripawd remains as friendly and feisty as ever.

Charlotte - July 2010

One month later:
You can barely see the scar - and LOOK AT HER SMILE!

Few months later:

Charlotte - Oct 2010

Her hair has grown in over the scar real nice and she is eating quite well!  She is such a Diva!

Charlotte, our Ambassadog, is the sweetest of Yorkies. We can’t thank Dori and her staff at Save-A-Pet enough for bringing her into our lives. Found as a stray at a construction site in Queens, NY, with a damaged and dangling front leg, it was promptly amputated. And yet, she doesn’t miss it at all, keeping up with the rest of the pack with sassiness, spirit and spunk. She absolutely adores people and thrives, in true doggy diva fashion, on being the center of attention. We at Yorkie911 Rescue couldn’t have asked for a better representative to highlight who we are and what we do.

And so, WE thank YOU, Charlotte, for rescuing US.
