w/Best Friends Animal Society
October 18, 2011 ![]() Yorkie911 Rescue participated in another Pup My Ride Transport on October 18th. "Pup My Ride" is a Best Friends Animal Society program that transports hundreds of puppy mill dogs from the midwest across the country to New York. The puppy mill survivors go to various rescue groups in New York & New Jersey. Prior to adoption by approved families, the mill survivors visit the dogter to be brought up to date on their vaccinations, health checked then spayed or neutered. Most receive dentals and some receive other medical attention, such as removal of mammary tumors. These pups remain in foster care where they are shown what a real dog's life should include- a warm dog bed to call their own, people to call a family and a house to call a home.... at least until they can be adopted and spoiled by an approved loving family!
