Yorkie911 Pups Were On The CBS Early Show with Jamie Rubin from Best Friends Animal Society

Yorkie911 Rescue Squad pups from "Pup My Ride" were on the CBS Early Show on Friday, March 30, 2012 with Jamie Lyn Rubin from Best Friends Animal Society. Jamie was interviewed by the morning anchors to educate the public about puppy mill surivivors and the importance of adopting a dog to save a life. Lola got her big break and did the weather with John Elliot while the rest of the bunch got their big camera break during pans and teasers for the segment. It was really difficult to not love our little pups who were so comfortable in front of the cameras that they fell asleep in a giant puppy pile by the end! Thankfully we received many phone calls from this television opportunity and we are so grateful for the exposure. Yorkie911 looks forward to finding the most amazing furever families for this wonderful bunch of puppy mill survivors!

Pup My Ride Transport
Armonk, NY
March 27, 2012

Yorkie911 again teamed up with Best Friends Animal Society for a Pup My Ride Transport on Tuesday - March 27, 2012. Pup My Ride is a program where puppy mill survivors are transported across the United States from puppy mills in the midwest to the East Coast. Here, various rescue groups and no-kill shelters work together to spay or neuter these pups. Each group is responsible to provide additional medical care for the puppy mill survivors, socialize them and find them their furever family. It is a huge responsibility but one that we take very seriously. Yorkie911's rescue pups rely on the generous donations from our supporters to continue our rescue mission. Please consider donating using our Paypal button under the Supporter tab on the left hand side of the page.

After the Rescue Squad picked up the puppy mill survivors that traveled halfway across the country to be in our care, we brought them straight to Petco Glen Cove for their first clean up aka "Spa Day". These pups had never been bathed and most had never been groomed aside from their first shave down with BFAS prior to their transport. They were dirty, smelly and in desperate need of some tender loving care. Petco Glen Clove graciously opened their doors for our second Pup My Ride "Spa Day" and allowed the Rescue Squad to bring the Pup My Ride dogs to their location to use their grooming area.
