Meet The Yorkie911 Rescue Squad Pups

RSP 7 Heidi W a
We were the original Rescue Squad members but some of us have passed since Yorkie911 Rescue was started.  Our names are (from top left to bottom) Charlotte, Skittles, Nellie, Buddy, Aramis, Snickers & Jingle Belle.  Skittles, Buddy, Snickers, Jingle Belle and Nellie have all gone to Rainbow Bridge Cry.  Charlotte and Aramis have some new siblings as our mom has a hard time letting go of her fosters. Charlotte (now 13), is the Ambassadog of Yorkie911 Rescue, Inc.  We think that is totally pawsome!  We each take on a role when Mommy brings home foster dogs & we try our very best to be nice to our guests.  It's a pawsome feeling knowing you are loved (and spoiled)!

I know my sister and I don't look like Yorkies, but all kinds of pups can be on the rescue squad! My name is Hope and I'm a schnauzer.  In 2010 I was rescued from a puppy mill. My mom, Donna realized that I wasn't happy being an only dog, so a few months later she adopted my sister Shelley. Our family fosters lots of different pups. We (and our human brother and sister) help teach the foster pups how to be a part of a busy family. The Yorkie in the picture next to us is Henry. He is what mom calls our "foster failure". That basically means he is our brother now! We love being a part of the Rescue Squad and helping and playing with all the different pups that we meet!

My name is Buddy... Buddy Monster that is!  My Mom, Liz and I love being part of the Rescue Squad.  She likes to help out at the festivals and I like to help doing the home visits. We have to make sure that the family we go visit has a home that is safe for one of my foster friends.Sometimes I get a little crazy in front of the families but thats only because I want to make sure they are ready for what a Yorkie truly entails.  I'm sure they get the point after I visit them.Well I gotta run! Make sure you spread the word that Yorkie911 is PAWSOME!!

Our names are TJ and Roxy.  Our Mommy, Nicole, really enjoys being a part of the Rescue Squad.  She helps a lot with the graphic and marketing materials and says we are her “ins-paw-ration”.  Mommy says that not all Yorkie’s can speak for themselves, so it’s really “im-paw-tant” for us to help them.  So we say: “we won’t change the world by saving one Yorkie, but we will change the world for that one” So our paws are ready to help!  Lead the way Mommy….

RSP Mary Gr( JP)

Hi! My name is Princess, I am a Havanese and a puppy-mill survivor myself. I'm the one showing my full support for "Yorkie 911"! In my younger days I used to spend three hours a month at the groomer and went to every event with my mom (Mary) to raise $ for all the yorkie babies coming in. I'm almost 10 now and prefer the "all natural" look. I loved fostering also, that is till mommy "failed fostering" with my brother Joey he's a Morky (maltese/yorkie mix). That's him there with that cute little head tilt. He usually does that when he wants something or did something bad...haha! Mommy falls for it everytime! Don't get me wrong he's a very good little brother, he cleans my eyes for me everyday whether I want him to or not....haha. We have had so much fun being part of the rescuesquad since day one!

RSP 4 Antonietta P

Our names are (L-R) M&M, Coski, Mickey & Kula!  We love helping our Mommy, Antonietta and Sister, Marisa, do rescue.  When they bring home foster dogs, we help get them ready for their furever homes.  We even let our Mommy fail fostering, not once but twice this year!  First she brought home Kula and she immediately became a part of our pack.  Later in the year, little Mickey, the Maltese, came to us for fostering. We all agreed to adopt him and now we are all part of the Rescue Squad Pack!

Hi there!  My name is Stanlee and this is my sister Nellee & brother Chester and my other sister Mochee. Our Mommy, Darlene, joined the Rescue Squad and even thou I am not a pure Yorkie, (I'm a Chorkie), I don't mind helping out. I am just happy we can help out other animals in need. My Mom brought home her first yorkie, a puppy mill survivor named Nellee. She came to Yorkie911 Rescue with 13 other mill dogs. At first I thought Chester, another mill survivor, was going to stay for a few days then leave when he found a furever home, but I quickly found out Mom failed fostering.  Mochee came to us with terrible allergies.  Her body was full of scabs and she was bald.  After Mommy got her better, she couldn’t give her up.  I'm happy that Nellee, Chester and Mochee are staying with us furever.  We also always have a forever foster with us.  That is a senior dog that is surrendered and is so old, they stay with us and we spoil them for the rest of their days.  Our oldest was 18 years

Hi my name is Pebbles otherwise known as Pebbleiscious, my mommy Mary joined the Rescue Squad because of her love of animals and because she thought that I needed to learn to give back and be grateful. I started helping mommy by going on home visits and even with the phones but most of all with our annual Fashion Show at Rescues Rock The Runway. (If you've seen my closets you'd understand.) It was at one of our events that we came home with Philly , a foster I was told, and well you know what happened, Mommy and daddy fell in love and he never left. Foster failure I believe they call it. I wasn't fond of the idea at first but he has grown on me too. Since then we have fostered and transported rescues to loving forever homes that we have found for them and hope to continue to do so for many more, and as far as Philly goes, lets just say he is living large and helping us give back to doggies less fortunate so they can find loving homes like ours

My name is Dexter and I am a sweet boy!  When I came into rescue, I was a bit of a mess, until I went to the groomer.  Now, I am a beautiful boy!  I love to cuddle on the couch with my Mom and Dad, but my favorite activity is playing fetch.  I like other little dogs but I am not a fan of big dogs because they are scary!  My Mom, Jessica, taught me how to sit, stay and come - soon she says I will learn how to high five!  I am potty trained and work hard to be a good boy on a leash.  I'm so happy I found my furever home and hope that one day soon I can help other Yorkies and small dogs be as lucky as I am!

Winterbella & Louie RSQ

(L to R Winterbella & Louie )Two woofs from Winterbella and Louie, who were rescued by Yorkie911. Our loving mom, Lisa, volunteers for them by working the phones and doing doggy transports. If she weren’t so tender hearted and didn’t cry so much each time a foster pup left, she’d foster more, and we’d have more furry, four-legged playmates.

Our names are (L-R) Marco, Delilah, Sierra and Kallie and we help our Mommy's Sue and Erica with Rescue!  Our first Yorkie911 foster dog was Sierra and when she bonded with Delilah, it was tough to let her go.  Then Sierra needed a pal and Kallie joined the family.  The most recent addition to the pack is Marco who won over Erica's heart!  Now we all work together to help Yorkie911 Rescue and the foster pups!  Woof Woof!

Bocci & Monk

Hi, my name is Bocci (11 years old) and this is my adopted brother from Yorkie 911, Monkey Man (13 years old). We have been working with our mom Regina and sister Capri in fostering the rescues of Yorkie 911 since March of 2011. So far we have had over 40 fosters in our home and Monk is the only one that we adopted (aka foster failure-whatever!) Monk and I spend lots of time together. I think that even though I was here first-Monk is probably the favorite (I think it's the tongue thing)! We both really like helping with the fosters especially the older ones (they make us look young)!

My name is Woofie and I am a 3.5 year old Yorkie.  I share my homewith a cat that I like to play with, however, the cat does not like to play.I help my Mommy, Kelly, to rehabilitate the foster dogs by showing them how to play with toys, lay with my Mommy and learn how to trust humans.  I am a very happy, friendly, and loving dog and I set a good example for the foster dogs by teaching them how to love.

RSP 2 Angela C
Hi! I'm Lilly and this is my brother Jackson. We help our Mom, Angela and the kids rescue and foster pups for Yorkie911. I like to teach the pups to play and run and just be pups. Jackson likes to be in charge and teach them manners.  Together we both love to teach the rescue pups how great it is to cuddle! Since we have a Mommy and 4 kids, there are always enough laps to cuddle with! As we say, the more the terrier, uh I mean merrier!! Woof Woof!

Our names are Cody, Liam, Miss Mimi and Nittany.  Cody is a Yorkie911 pup that our pawrents rescued.  Our pawrents rescue often- our late fur brother Jakester was also a Yorkie911 Rescue.  Our newest addition, Miss Mimi is also a rescue.  So you see, we have a lot of experience rescuing and fostering dogs that need our help!  We teach them the ropes of what it's like to be a happy dog and we show them how to love our people.  We also enjoy attending events and socializing with our Rescue Squad fur friends!

Terry P Rescuesquad

Our names are Gracie, Max, Tigger & Kobie. Our mom Terry is part of the rescue squad, she helps out at the events, fosters when possible  and is also the rescue squad photographer. We were all rescues who came to mom as fosters. We wiggled our way into mom's heart, which isn't very hard to do!  She failed fostering not once but four times! We now help with the foster pups who come to stay with us until they find their forever homes. Mom says we are so good at accepting the pups who come to stay with us. We love to help the foster pups learn to trust people again, we teach them to play & help socialize them. We don't mind sharing our beds either. We just want all our foster friends to find loving homes & be as happy, loved and spoiled as we are. Where ever we go we help spread the word about this wonderful group that saved us and so many more.

My name is Dexter and I want to tell you about my mom. Maria Lana became associated with Yorkie911 at about the same time she brought me home. It turns out I had an older brother that I never knew. She got him from a pet store and I think he was one of those "puppy mill dogs" because he got very sick and passed away at only 18 months old. After that, when she was looking for me, she became educated on the pitfalls of buying from a pet store. That's how she found Yorkie911. Now she volunteers her time to help rescue puppies like me.
