Update 2/24/14: Munchie is doing well - he must be kept calm so he is crated except for potty breaks and lap time. It will be another 6 weeks before he can be neutered so he will stay in his foster home for a while longer.
Update 2/12/14: Munchie started his heartworm treatment today. He will be in the doggie hospital overnight.
Update 1/19/14: Munchie is settling into his foster home nicely. He loves to be outside in the yard and is anxiously waiting to be able to go on walks in the neighborhood. He is a real sweetheart who loves belly rubs. He always follows his foster mom and dad around the house. He gets along with other dogs (although he definitely prefers the lady pups). Munchie can be territorial and is protective of people and things that he believes are his (preferred humans, food, toys,etc). He would do best in a home without young children. Munchie is crate trained and is working on housebreaking. We are hoping to start his medical treatment this week!
This sweet boy came all the way from Georgia. We believe he was hit by a car and brought into a shelter. A rescue group pulled him out and got him to a vet but Munchie tested positive for heartworm and needs to be treated for that before he can have surgery.
Munchie is a very affectionate boy. He will roll over for belly rubs and snuggling and seems to know his name. If you are looking for a sweet dog, please submit an application. Adoption fee $350.00
