Porkchop
May 20, 2016 - We lost our furry family member, Porkchop yesterday. Sadly, he had a stroke. The wonderful doctors and staff at the Family Pet Clinic helped Porkchop feel comfortable, as well as my daughter and myself. Although we only had the pleasure of having Porkchop as part of our family for two years, it was the best two years of our lives, and I know it was for our boy, too. Many of our friends thought we were making a mistake adopting a senior dog. It is always heartbreaking to lose a pet, no matter what age they are or circumstance. Every animal, young and old, deserves a warm, loving home. I am so happy and grateful that you, Yorkie 911 Rescue, afforded us the wonderful opportunity to do just that. Stefani Schaefer

Julian
Our Foster, Julian had to be put down today. He was only around seven years old, but had a neurological central lesion that made him unable to walk. He wasn't doing well, and finally got some peace. He was only with us for a month, but "Big Julie" will be remembered forever. He was our first foster, but definitely not our last. I love you babe Alexis & Anthony

Nikolai
I am sad to tell you that Niko passed away on Friday, May 6th. He had a good life with us for the past 1 1/2 years where he had the run of the house and the yard. He was well cared for and in return was a great friend to my wife and myself until his illness arrived. He enjoyed sharing lunch and dinner with me on a daily basis. (much to the annoyance of our Vet - he weighed in at 17 1/2 Lbs) He liked being on his leash in the front yard watching me while I worked out there. In addition he liked sleeping in the bed with me at night and staying with me on my recliner while watching TV. He knew the squirrels were crossing our yard, but never quite knew where they came from, where they went or how he missed them. Smaller bird were another thing! He chased them off the lawn, but was never able to quite catch up with them. Ducks on the other hand just caught his attention, he stared at them and never understood what they were or what they were up to. Niko became like a member of the family in the short time he was with us and our activities were arranged around his needs. He was dearly loved and will be missed. John Pfalzgraf

Mini Me
Mini Me passed away in November. He was the first family dog and was 13 years old. He very much enjoyed having the fosters, although most of them just barked at him! He was so loved and family miss him dearly.
