Meet our Rescue girl Pepper, a 13 year old pup who had massive cancer. RIP little Pepper 4/26/13
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear little Yogi bear. He was a sweet boy who made his way into rescue after being in a shelter and eventually into a warm, loving furever home, despite his age. Sadly, he developed pancreatitis and lost his battle today. He will be dearly missed but we know he is running around smiling now that he is no longer in any pain. Sweet Yogi, RIP. 4/3/13
Scotty was a good dog who unfortunately got a bad deal at the end of his life. Although he was abandoned when he needed his owner most, he found a home filled with love with his Yorkie911 foster family. They took care of him the best they could. Unfortunately, the medication given by the vets did not help in the way it was supposed to. The blood in the urine did not go away and the tumors did not shrink. They saw that he was losing some of his motor skills and that he was having trouble going to the bathroom. As dogs are selfless beings, we could not imagine being selfish in wanting to keep him around for our sake. No one, human or canine, should live with pain and be left to degrade to the point of zero quality of life. Life is about quality, not quantity. Scottie had ten years before us and only a month with us. His foster family would like to think that they provided him in that month as much love as he received in his ten years. Because we loved him, we gave him his final goodbye before his life became only pain. His foster family believes he is in dog heaven where the cancer is gone and he running and playing with the vigor of a puppy. His foster Mom held him while he was put under sedation with his head on her shoulder and told him it was okay to leave us to go play. We just hope the angels who are playing with him can keep up! RIP Scottie <3 3/15/13
Princess was her Mommy's baby. She was a beautiful Yorkie girl who lost her life too soon. She loved to hide her treats in the closet away from her furry brother Rescue and loved her Mommy. RIP Princess 1/21/13 <3
Rambo stole our hearts when he first came into rescue. He would roll over and want a belly rub every time someone walked past him or even if you looked at him. Rambo loved to cuddle and would go crazy when his Mommy would come home. He preferred belly rubs over walks. Rambo has touched every member of Yorkie911. He was a very sweet boy. He made his mother Patricia very happy. Rambo has touched all of us and will remain in our hearts forever. Rambo- you will be missed deeply lil guy! RIP 1/12/13 |
